MCO has around forty members of all ages who come from  throughout Mayo and beyond. Each year we also welcome musicians who are passing through Mayo on short-term contracts or student exchanges. Musicians who are interested in joining should contact us. Rehearsals take place every Wednesday night during the school year in St. Patrick’s NS, Castlebar. [More about Membership]

The orchestra is currently involved in establishing a permanent building in which individual and group tuition can take place, as well as weekly practice for the youth and senior orchestras.
